Brief: The brief for this project was simple – a complete update of the apartment. The client wanted to create a better flow from the kitchen to the living room, and update all the spaces to be modern. Visually the clients wanted to create a modern apartment with industrial vibes, featuring dark cabinetry, timber, and white and grey tones.

We started with structural changes, widening the opening from the kitchen to the living room, and adding an additional opening to create a servery nook. This allowed more natural light to enter both spaces and creates a better flow. The dark cabinetry in the kitchen creates a modern industrial style paired with the concrete flooring. The addition of timber brings a warmth into the space.

By removing the bath from the bathroom, we were able to create a larger walk in shower. The separate toilet allowed the shower and vanity to be large and create a functional bathroom.

Whilst the laundry is small, by stacking the washer and dryer it allowed the space to have a sink and other storage making it a more functional space.
