Location: Surrey Hills
Duration: 6 weeks
Budget: $30-50k
Scope: Bathroom
Brief: Originally an old and tiny 1950’s bathroom, this renovated inner sanctum takes over the space of the existing bathroom, and two adjacent bedrooms. The generous space creates a retreat for the owners, with the double vanity allowing for use by multiple people at the same time.
A large walk in shower with a wall fixed shower head and handheld shower, as well as niches to allow a clean line of storage space in the shower. To keep the overall look of the bathroom clean, the basin taps are mounted to the wall, as well as a hidden cistern for the toilet. A large mirror above the vanity enhances the natural light from the window opposite, and floods the bathroom creating a sense of serenity.
The tile selection creates a simple and clam space whilst still giving the space texture and depth. The fresh white Caesartstone benchtop compliments the darker wall tiles and the softer polished porcelain tiles.
